Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash installation on the Ubuntu server
In this article, we will conduct the Bitcoin Core (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) installation process on the Ubuntu server.
Place:
- Ubuntu 18.04 or newer (in this example we will use 20.04)
- Basic understanding of Linux commands
- The required packages must be installed in the system:
`Bash
SUDO APT update
Sudo apt instal -y Curl Git Build-Extence LibSSL-DEV LIBIDN2-DEV LZO-DEV LIBSNMP-dev
Step 1: Download and separate Bitcoin Cash
First of all, you’ll have to download the Bitcoin Cash package (BCH):
`Bash
Wet
Tar xzf bcc-0.32.0.tar.gz
CD BCC-0.32.0
This is the separate bch tarball and will create the director’s structure.
Step 2: Configure Bitcoin Cash
Before you can use Bitcoin Cash, you must configure it:
`Bash
./configure --- Prefix =/USR/Local/Bin
This command sets the Bitcoin cash configuration in Ubuntu.
Step 3: Build and install Bitcoin’s cash
Now, when you configured Bitcoin Cash, build a package:
`Bash
Make -j $ (NPROC)
Sudo creates an installation
“-J” determines the number of processing testicles for compilation use. The command “(NPROC) counts CP nuclei available.
Step 4: Configure and install the Bitcoin (BTC) core
Then you need to download and separate the Bitcoin Core package:
`Bash
Wet
Tar XZF Bitcoin-QT-0.19.1.Tar.gz
CD Bitcoin-QT-0.19.1
This is the separate Tarball Bitcoin Core and will create the director’s structure.
Step 5: Configure and build the Bitcoin (BTC) core
Before you can use Bitcoin Core, you must configure it:
`Bash
./configure --- Prefix =/USR/Local/Bin
And then build a package:
`Bash
Make -j $ (NPROC)
Sudo creates an installation
Step 6: Add Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Core to your system
After installing both packages, you need to add them to the system path so that they can be used from anywhere on the server.
`Bash
Sudo ln -s/usr/local/bin/bcc/usr/local/bin/
Sudo ln -s/usr/local/bin/bitcoin -qt/usr/local/bin/
Step 7: Check -Va installation
To check if you successfully installed Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Core, run the Bitcoin customer:
`Bash
Bitcoin-Client-Ddress = You-Bch-Address -here
Replace your gore heads with the BCH portfolio address.
And if you want to use bitcoin cash for payment or other purposes:
`Bash
Bitcoxcash-Cll-Ddress = Bitcoin-Cash-Address -here -L 2>/Home/User/User/You-Bitcoin-Cash-Logs/
List “Bitcoin-Cash-Adress-Her” with the BCH portfolio address, and the option specific to the level of the journal.
